MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB
Fault finding on control systems and the maintenance and calibration of instrumentation.

Fault finding on control systems and the maintenance and calibration of instrumentation.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Matric, Qualified in an instrumentation related trade, at-least a T2 or N5.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience as an Instrumentation Technician or similar technical post.
- Knowledge of PLC and SCADA programming.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintenance & repairs to all instrumentation, process control equipment & automation systems
- Optimisation of all control systems regarding processes and production lines
- Responsible for assisting production personnel on technical issues that involves electrical and instrumentation in the plant.
- Responsible for both planned and unplanned work on electrical and instrumentation equipment in the plant.
- Ensure that all process control software is backed up & left up to date according to set standards
- Managing subordinates and ensuring that work is done on time and is of acceptable standards.
- Managing critical spares in the plant for electrical and instrument equipment.
- Be involved in continuous process improvement and maximising plant production output.
- Involved and attending to product quality issues on process lines.
- Electrical support up to 525v
- Assist with panel building and electrical fault finding
