Minimum Requirements:

Qualifications:

• Grade 12 + Tertiary qualification in Accounting / Financial Sciences

• SAIPA, SAICA, or CIMA accreditation

Experience:

• 5+ years in Accounting

• 3+ years in a dedicated Accounting role

• Retail industry experience is a plus

Knowledge & Tools:

• Proficient in financial systems (SAGE Evolution, Meat Matrix advantageous)

• Strong Excel skills (Advanced level)

• Microsoft 365 Suite

Skills:

• Fluent in English & Afrikaans

• Excellent communication, analytical and leadership skills

• High attention to detail and time management

• Able to work independently and under pressure

Key Responsibilities:

• Month-End & Reporting: Financial statements, journals, balance sheet reconciliations, sales & inventory analysis

• SARS Compliance: VAT, PAYE, Income Tax

• Banking & Cashflow: FNB & SAGE payments, monthly forecasts, cashflow reporting

• Accounts Payable/Receivable: Oversee processes, ageing reports, team management, and query resolution

• Audits: Prepare for external audits, financial statement drafting

• Employee Management: Recruitment, onboarding, performance management, training & development

• Ad-Hoc Duties: Store performance reports, ROI analysis, budget support, POS & system implementation, retail audits
