Head of Credit and Collections, Centurion

Lead the full credit and collections function across the business, ensuring profitable lending growth, disciplined risk management and strong recovery performance. This role is responsible for protecting loan quality while improving operational efficiency and customer outcomes.

Minimum Requirements and Qualifications:

• CA(SA) registered with SAICA essential
• MBA advantageous
• 8+ years senior leadership experience within banking, insurance or financial services
• Proven experience in credit management, collections or recoveries
• Strong understanding of lending risk, arrears management and collections strategy
• Knowledge of NCR and South African credit legislation
• Strong commercial, financial and operational leadership skills
• Experience leading large teams and driving performance improvement

Key Performance Areas:

• Lead end-to-end credit granting and approval processes
• Manage collections, arrears and recoveries performance
• Improve loan book quality and reduce bad debt exposure
• Drive credit policy, scorecards and lending controls
• Ensure regulatory compliance and sound governance practices
• Manage outsourced collections and recovery partners
• Oversee budgets, forecasts and cost control for the division
• Improve operational processes through systems and automation
• Build strong internal and external stakeholder relationships
• Lead, develop and performance-manage teams
