Description
Job Summary Seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Architectural Draughtsman with experience in architectural drafting and design documentation. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate architectural drawings, layouts, and project documentation in accordance with client requirements, municipal regulations, and company standards.
Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare detailed architectural drawings and plans for residential, commercial, and industrial projects.
  • Produce drawings using AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Assist architects and project managers with technical documentation and drawing revisions.
  • Ensure drawings comply with municipal regulations, SANS standards, building regulations, and company drafting standards.
  • Coordinate drawings with engineering disciplines and consultants.
  • Prepare submission drawings and documentation for municipal approval.
  • Conduct site measurements and inspections when required.
  • Update and maintain drawing registers and project documentation.
  • Assist with as-built drawings and final project documentation.
  • Ensure all drawings are completed within project deadlines.


Minimum Requirements
  • Relevant draughting qualification or certification.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in architectural drafting.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office.
  • Good understanding of building regulations and construction detailing.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
  • Must be detail-oriented, able to work fast, and work unsupervised.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel within South Africa.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience on commercial, industrial, and residential projects.
  • Knowledge of municipal submission processes.
  • BIM coordination experience will be advantageous.
