Test, Qualification&Commissioning Technician Assistant, Centurion

Minimum Requirements: Education:

N4–N6 Qualification in Electromechanical/Electrical Engineering

Electromechanical/Electrical Trade Qualification (preferred)

Experience:

Practical exposure (internship/learnership) or 0–2 years’ experience (advantageous)

Exposure to a production or manufacturing environment is beneficial

Willingness to learn and follow instructions

Ability to read and follow basic electrical schematics

Ability to use hand tools and basic testing equipment

Key Responsibilities:

Assists with the assembly of electrical and electro-mechanical components and sub-assemblies

Prepares materials, tools, and equipment for testing and integration activities

Performs cabling tasks including wire stripping, crimping, soldering, and routing

Assists with installation of electrical wiring and harnesses according to schematics

Supports basic electrical testing (continuity, voltage, resistance checks)

Operates and assists with testing equipment such as multimeters and power supplies under supervision

Records and reports test results accurately

Assists with system integration and setting-to-work (STW) activities

Supports Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) processes

Follows instructions from senior technicians during testing and integration

Ensures all work complies with company quality standards and procedures

Maintains a clean, organised, and safe working environment

Identifies and reports faults, defects, or non-conformances

Performs additional duties as required within the scope of the role
