Tier A – Installation Electrician, Centurion

Requirements: 

• Hold a recognized Electrical Trade qualification (Red Seal)
• Possess a National N3 (Electrical) qualification or higher
• Be registered with the Department of Employment and Labour as an Installation Electrician (IE)
• Possess a valid 3-Phase Wireman's Licence or Wireman's Licence
• Hold a valid driver's licence
• Single-phase registration will be considered, with ETSP accreditation being acceptable
• A minimum of 3 to 5 years' post-apprenticeship experience in commercial and industrial electrical installation

Responsibilities: 

• Read and interpret Single Line Diagrams (SLDs) and electrical schematics
• Competent in the inspection, testing, certification, and commissioning of electrical installations
• Strong knowledge of 3-phase electrical installations and switchgear
• Sound understanding of and compliance with SANS 10142-1, including SANS 10142-1-2 requirements for embedded generation systems.
• Competent in inspecting and certifying grid-tied Solar PV installations
• Familiar with Small-Scale Embedded Generation (SSEG) registration requirements
• PV GreenCard Certification will be advantageous
