Lodge Anchor:
Duties:
Meticulous in all aspects of managing the lodge
Managing, Overseeing Staff with the General Manager
Staff training and development
Assisting the marketing manager to get content for social media
Hosting Duties
Allocation of Airport Transfers
Assistance around the lodge in other departments if needed
Stock control and stock takes
Manage the housekeeping and front office departments in conjunction with HOD
Ensure the lodge maintains the required standards aesthetically
Assist with Events planning and execution
Assist with menu planning and cost control
Requirements:
Grade 12
A formal qualification will be an advantage
At least 2+ years’ experience in a high-end lodge environment
Valid RSA Driver's License will be an advantage
Computer literate
Exceptional Guest Relations skills
Ability to manage staff
Understanding and ability to manage the different departments
Ability to plan ahead and problem solve
Financial experience in budget control, stock takes and stock control
Mature and responsible
Well spoken, well-groomed and presentable
Strong leadership capabilities
Positive attitude and approach toward teamwork
Hands on approach towards the guest experience
Ability to take initiative and problem solve
Excellent guest interaction skills
Passionate and pro-active towards personal growth and training
Field Guide: Duties:
Conducting guided safaris, for international guests we specialize in exclusive and photographic safaris
Ensuring the safety, comfort, and enjoyment of guests throughout their safari experience Hosting guests with professionalism and enthusiasm, providing informative and engaging insights
Facilitating guest transfers to and from safari destination when required
Creating compelling content for social media platforms through still and video photography
All other basic duties on the reserve and in the lodge.
Requirements:
Grade 12
Minimum FGASA Level 1 (NQF Level 2) qualification
At least 3+ years’ experience in a similar position
DEAT registration
CATHSSETA registration
First Aid Level 1 certification
Rifle Competency for wildlife management and guest safety
Valid Driver’s License with PDP (Professional Driving Permit)
Own vehicle for personal transport
Experience in wildlife photography is an added bonus.
