DIVISIONAL MANAGER: SERVICE STRATEGY, DESIGN & GOVERNANCE – E1, Durban

Reporting to the Group Chief Information Officer, the Divisional Manager: Service Strategy, Design &
Governance will manage the end-to-end process and ongoing development of strategy & governance,
enterprise architecture, process & improvement, research and development, and data analytics.

The successful candidate's responsibilities will be to:
• Develop and manage the Divisional Strategy and Policies.
• Management of operations in the division
• Coordinate and manage the divisional budgetary process
• Formulate and/or periodically review the divisional Policies and Strategic Plan based on the current IT
strategic plan, business plan, and/or practices.
• Manage Service Level Agreements and service provider performance.
• Compile divisional budget and manage expenditures
• Ensure effective management of human resources.

The following minimum requirements should be met in order to be considered:

Qualification:
• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology.
• Post Graduate qualification in IT will be advantageous.
• The following relevant industry certifications will be advantageous:
Project Management e.g. Prince 2, PMBOK
Agile methodologies e.g., PMI-ACP; AgilePM; CPO; CEC; CDA
Enterprise & Systems Architecture e.g., TOGAF; COBIT

Minimum:
• Seven (7) years experience in a similar environment, minimum of three (3) years experience in Senior
Management.

Requisite Functional Competencies
• Computer Literacy (MS Office).
• Knowledge and experience in financial planning and forecasting.
• Knowledge and understanding of the Public Finance Management Act.
• Knowledge and understanding of corporate governance principles including relevant national and KZN
provincial government policies and procedures.
• Knowledge of risk management concepts, frameworks, and methodology.
• Technical knowledge of computer systems.
