ACCOUNTS PAYABLES SUPERVISOR _FIXED TERM CONTRACT: 6 Months …, Durban

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

• Supervise and control the Accounts Payables section by ensuring only approved suppliers are
  paid and that the policies and procedures are upheld
•  Monitor payment of Accounts Payables within set deadlines, as per organizational performance
  targets
•  Ensure that all invoices received by the organization are paid timeously through the enforcement
  of controls for tracking of invoices, and escalate as required, when necessary
• Ensure completeness of the accruals listing at the end of each reporting period;
• Review the Accounts Payable Reconciliations prepared for payment by ensuring that all invoices
  due for payment are processed accurately and timely;
• Produce analysis and process expenditure on all credit card transactions timeously;
• Balance the monthly Accounts Payable Ledger and produce Age Analysis Reports to ensure
  accuracy of the General ledger;
• Analysis of the electricity schedules to ensure accurate allocation of consumption per project;
• Generate reports and conduct all other analysis in the Accounts Payable section as and when
  required;
• Respond to all internal and external audit queries timeously;
• Responsible for the coaching and development of staff within the section.

REQUIREMENTS:

• National Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Finance or Accounting or equivalent relevant qualification
  with seven years experience in Accounts Payables or Creditors OR
  A Bachelor’s Degree (NQF Level 7) in Finance or Accounting or equivalent relevant qualification
  with a minimum of five years of experience in Accounts Payables or Creditors.
• Ability to use a Financial System and MS Office
• Understanding of GRAP, PFMA, and National Treasury Regulations.
• Attentive to detail, strong financial acumen, quality-focused, and results driven.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to deal with internal staff and external
  stakeholders
• Ability to prioritize duties so as to meet deadlines.
•  Valid Driver’s license
