PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

To ensure implementation of the information management strategy across provinces based on their unique requirements. This includes creating visibility of the information management capability with provincial leadership and securing executive sponsorship of data related initiatives.

Implement information management strategy across provinces

• Ensure implementation of the information management strategy across provinces based on their unique requirements. This includes creating visibility of the information management with provincial leadership and securing executive sponsorship of data related initiatives for the provinces based on their unique requirements.
• Ensure alignment between the Group data ecosystem and the provinces information management requirements to drive delivery with support of information management, heads of data domains, CIA and measurement teams.
• Provides guidelines and polices across provinces in terms of data management requirements. 
• Ensure the successful adoption of a healthy data principles. 
• Ensure that the provinces drive data quality and revenue generating data initiatives. 
• Formalises a formal attribution and recognition model for revenue generated by the teams in province in conjunction with Finance and CIA.
• Ensure that escalated business data related incidents are prioritsed within IM and IT are executed within agreed timelines.  
• Understands the commercial aspirations and goals of the provinces and formulates plans to enable the provinces to achieve its objectives with the assistance of the Provincial data managers. 
• Ensure that key data issues are managed appropriately for onboarding, maintenance and servicing, credit, marketing and regulatory requirements. 
• Creates consistent awareness of the information management discipline and its core principles.

Measures 

• End to end data lineage, metadata and business rules of the business are leveraged in order to ensure that gaps are addressed effectively. 
• Information management strategy implemented and well understood across provinces.
• Provinces meet the data quality targets
• Specific revenue objectives achieved. 
• Provinces have completed their IM training. 

Stakeholder management 

• Influences the ideation process across provinces for data related initiatives and processes to ensure that the data in provinces always has the highest integrity.
• Attended stakeholder steerco's and meetings across different areas in province ( where required)
• Develops and maintains a formal stakeholder management framework.
• Identifies stakeholders, responsibilities and escalations framework.
• Develops and maintains RACI framework
• Actively engages with stakeholders to fulfil and deliver the IM objectives

Measures

• PEXCO, regional, RCC and IM monthly formal update
• Provincial business' review and PEXCO attendee with formal submissions.
• Provencal data forum chaired and minuted
• Frequency and format of stakeholder engagement 
• Stakeholder feedback
• Availability and quality of documents (e.g. polices, standards, RACI, test cases for critical data fields)
