CLEARING AND FORWARDING AGENTS /LOGISTICS ASSISTANTS WANTED, Durban

Introduction
A position has arisen within MSC Cape Town Export Freight Department in the capacity of an Export Freight Clerk/SHIPPING CLERK/CLEARING AND FORWARDING AGENTS.ADMIN CLERK/GENERAL WORKERS/IT SUPPORT TECHNICIANS.

Duties & Responsibilities
Ensure Shipping Instructions are received & processed timeously for all bookings & liaise with clients for outstanding/incorrect Shipping Instructions
Ensure that the Shipping Instructions conform to requirements & regulations.
Ensure all bookings are manifested and the booking mismatch report is clear prior to the DTX being transmitted.
Various checks must be performed for all bookings against the SI / Agency System prior to handing over for manifesting:
If any discrepancies are picked up, ensure an e-mail is sent to the respective Department / Customer and is followed up.
Once the bills are manifested drafts must be sent to the clients. If there is any amendment, the amended copy must be handed over to the data capture clerk and once updated, an amended draft must be sent to the client.
Liaise with customers (internal and external) regarding any documentation related issues.
Act on any reasonable instruction given to you by your Manager.
Desired Experience & Qualification
The incumbent must have experience in shipping and freight.

This position requires an individual to be hard working, accurate, methodical and have good communication skills.

Able to work overtime during the peak season
