About the Role: Our Federal Government client is seeking an IT Service Desk Support Officer. This is an urgent contract role commencing ASAP until 31 March 2026, with potential for extension, located in Perth, WA or Canberra, ACT, working standard business hours between 8:00am and 5:00pm, Monday to Friday. As the selected candidate, you will: Provide Level 1/2 IT Service Desk support via telephone, email, IT portal, remote tools and face-to-face assistance Deliver exceptional customer service through effective triage, resolution and escalation of incidents and service requests Support end users across desktop and end-user computing environments, including laptops and tablets Work collaboratively with the Desktop, Service Desk and broader IT teams across CASA Monitor, track and respond to support requests across multiple channels in a fast-paced environment Undertake additional tasks as directed by the Team Leader or Section Manager To be successful in this role, you should have: Exceptional customer service and stakeholder engagement skills Strong experience supporting Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office 365 Demonstrated ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical users Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-volume support environment At least 1 year of experience in an enterprise-level IT support role (or equivalent combination of training and experience) Strong written and verbal communication skills It is desirable if you have: Knowledge or experience working within ITIL-based environments Experience working in multi-disciplinary technical teams Due to security clearance requirements for this role, candidates must be Australian citizens with an active Baseline security clearance.
