SANITARYWARE SHOWROOM COORDINATOR (Musgrave, Durban, KZN)

A leading national retail group is seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Sanitaryware Showroom Coordinator to play a key role in delivering an exceptional in-store shopping experience. This role is ideal for someone who combines strong product knowledge with excellent retail sales skills, ensuring customers receive expert advice and a seamless buying journey from start to finish.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Customer Engagement & Retail Service

1. Welcome and assist walk-in customers in a professional and friendly manner

2. Understand customer needs and recommend suitable sanitaryware, fittings, and accessories

3. Provide detailed product information, including features, pricing, comparisons, warranties, and basic installation guidance

4. Drive sales through effective upselling of complementary products

5. Showroom Presentation & Visual Merchandising

6. Maintain clean, organised, and visually appealing showroom displays

7. Ensure pricing, promotional signage, and product information are accurate and up to date

8. Implement seasonal layouts and new product displays in collaboration with the marketing team

9. Ensure all display items are complete, functional, and well-presented

Sales Operations

1. Prepare point-of-sale quotations and assist with closing sales

2. Support achievement of daily and monthly sales targets

3. Monitor stock levels and coordinate replenishment with buying and warehouse teams

4. Assist with stock counts, audits, and shrinkage control

Product Knowledge & Advisory

1. Stay informed on new product ranges and bathroom design trends

2. Attend supplier and internal training sessions

3. Provide accurate advice on product compatibility, sizing, installation, and maintenance

Administration & Coordination

1. Maintain accurate customer records, quotes, and orders on internal systems

2. Follow up on customer orders, including collections and backorders

3. Coordinate delivery schedules where required

4. Assist management with reporting, including sales performance and stock updates

REQUIREMENTS

1. Grade 12

2. Minimum 2+ years’ experience in showroom coordination or retail sales

3. Essential: Experience with sanitaryware and plumbing products

4. Strong customer service and sales ability

5. Good attention to detail with an eye for visual merchandising

6. Understanding of stock control and buying processes

7. Computer literate (MS Office; ERP systems advantageous)

8. Willingness to work retail hours:

• Monday to Saturday

• Alternate Sundays (day off provided during the week)

• Alternate public holidays

RUMUNERATION

R15,000 per month + Commission
