TURNER MACHINIST- Isipingo, Durban

Our client seeks to employ a suitably qualified and competent TURNER MACHINIST at Isipingo site to partner with Production and Engineering team to achieve their objectives, to their respective internal and external customers.

The successful candidate will be based at our Isipingo site and will report to the TOOLROOM FOREMAN.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum of a grade 12.
Qualified Machinist – Trade test in turning.
5 Years experience as a Machinist in a heavy industry environment.
Experience in heavy turning.

REQUIRED OUTPUT:
Operate and maintain lathes, and other machining equipment.
Capable to operate boring mill.
Thread cutting and machining of hard chrome shaft/material.
Ability to analyze and implement corrective measures on mechanical wear of old machinery/tools.
Rebuilding of worn-out parts, alignment etc.
Manufacture of spare components.
Capable of reading and interpreting drawings, blueprints and specifications.
Must be willing to work across different disciplines.
