Payroll Administrator – Durban (Mobeni)

A well-established company based in Mobeni, Durban is seeking an experienced Payroll Administrator to manage and process payroll accurately and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process weekly/monthly payroll accurately and on time

  • Maintain employee payroll records and ensure data integrity

  • Calculate salaries, overtime, leave, deductions, and benefits

  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements (PAYE, UIF, SDL, COIDA)

  • Prepare and submit payroll reports as required

  • Handle payroll queries and resolve discrepancies

  • Maintain confidentiality of payroll information

  • Assist with audits and payroll reconciliations when required

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Payroll Administrator

  • Sound knowledge of South African payroll legislation

  • Experience working with payroll systems (VIP, Sage, Pastel or similar)

  • Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy

  • Ability to meet strict deadlines

  • Good communication and organisational skills

  • Payroll qualification or relevant certification (advantageous)

Salary

R8,000 – R12,000, market-related and based on experience
