Production shift foreman, Durban

Overview

Hire Resolve’s client is seeking a skilled and experienced Production Shift Foreman to oversee the manufacturing operations of our sugar production plant in KZN. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the sugar industry and proven leadership skills to effectively manage a team of production workers.

Responsibilities:

Plan and coordinate daily production activities to meet production targets and deadlines Supervise and direct a team of production workers to ensure smooth operations and output quality Monitor and optimize production processes to improve efficiency and reduce downtime Implement and enforce safety regulations and procedures to maintain a safe working environment Troubleshoot production issues and implement solutions to prevent recurring problems Communicate with management and other departments to coordinate production schedules and resources Train and mentor production staff to develop their skills and improve performance Maintain accurate production records and reports for management review

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Food Science, or related field Minimum of 5 years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment, preferably in the sugar industry Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to effectively manage a team of production workers Knowledge of production processes, equipment, and quality control standards in the sugar industry Ability to analyze and problem solve production issues to ensure smooth operations Excellent communication and organizational skills to coordinate production schedules and resources Proven track record of meeting production targets and deadlines Willingness to work rotating shifts and weekends as needed Full Time
