Visual Merchandising Manager, Durban

Our client is currently hiringa creative and strategic Visual Merchandising Manager to lead the visual presentation of their retail spaces, ensuring a cohesive brand image and an engaging customer experience. You will be responsible for Working conjunction with Marketing, Operations and Merch teams to design and implement visual displays that drives foot traffic and brand consistencyto maximize sales.

Responsibilities Include:

Ensure VM strategy aligns with overall brand and sub-brand vision.

Maintain consistent product presentation across stores and all marketing channels.

Align Merchandising and Marketing seasonal calendars to ensure timely campaign execution.

Plan and manage photo and video shoots to meet campaign deliverables and deadlines.

Oversee seasonal signage strategy, production, and in-store placement.

Build and manage supplier relationships, negotiating cost-effective pricing for fixtures and signage.

Develop and execute the seasonal VM strategy, including store flow, navigation, and layouts.

Create seasonal and monthly merchandising guides, window plans, and campaign VM guides.

Lead training and support for field and store teams to ensure high-level VM execution.

Collaborate with store design teams on layouts, fixtures, and new store openings.

Conduct competitor analysis to drive visual innovation and brand elevation.

Manage seasonal budgets and provide regular reporting on national VM execution.

Personal Attributes:

Minimum 5 years experience within a managerial role and leading teams

Visual Merchandising and design experience for 5+ years

Qualification in same or similar field such as Visual merchandising, retail management, fashion design is beneficial

Experience working with, negotiating and managing suppliers

Head Office experience working within Visual merchandising, across departments and teams.

Technical skills in visual merchandising software (e.g. Adobe illustrator, photoshop, illustrator, mockshop and inDesign)

Proven experience in owning and managing a capex&opex budget

Flexibility to travel to store locations
