Field Sales Account Executive - KZN About the role At Yoco, we believe in empowering small businesses with best‑in‑class financial tools, making commerce accessible and seamless. We want you to join us in driving growth on the ground in KZN by enabling food and beverage businesses to optimise operations, reduce friction, and deliver exceptional customer experiences through tailored, tech‑enabled workflows.
What you will be doing
Hunt new opportunities and drive business growth in your territory
Prospect for leads
Qualify, negotiate, and close deals with merchants and partners
Build and nurture relationships with business owners
Achieve and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets
Collaborate closely with internal teams (marketing, operations, customer success) to ensure onboarding and delight of new merchants
Provide feedback from the field to help refine pricing, product features, and go‑to‑market strategies
Maintain accurate forecasting and CRM data
Track competitor activity and market trends
About you
5+ years of solution sales experience in fintech, SaaS, or integrated POS systems, preferably in the food and beverage / retail / health and beauty sectors (or adjacent industries)
Proven ability to sell into complex, high‑touch environments with multiple stakeholders and longer deal cycles
Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship‑building skills
Self‑motivated, with hunger for results and resilience in a fast‑paced environment
Ability to operate independently and manage your own pipeline
Comfortable with frequent travel across your territory
Proficiency in CRM software (e.g. Salesforce, HubSpot)
Deep understanding of hospitality workflows and operational tech stacks
Technically literate, you can engage with APIs, integrations, and ecosystem platforms with confidence
Skilled at navigating and influencing diverse decision‑makers (IT, finance, ops, execs)
Proactive, resilient, and resourceful, comfortable working autonomously and on the move
Valid driver’s license and own transport (this is a field‑based, relationship‑driven role)
Nice to Have / Differentiators
Experience in a technical environment, specifically payments, POS systems, or financial services
Exposure to working with micro / small to medium sized and established business merchants
Understanding of the local market dynamics in KZN
