Recently qualified CA (SA) with an interest in the digitisation, project work and operational analysis and controls???

A large industrial manufacturing Group is looking for a Risk&Compliance FM to join its Head Office team.

Areas of responsibility will include: Strategic Projects

Special Projects and Use of Technology:

Taking lead on special Group and divisional projects ensuring strong internal controls and risk mitigation

Review of internal controls and risk mitigation on the Group ERP system and other integrated systems and software

Manage the reporting for the Group Forward Meetings, including the automation of the reporting data required, maintain and report the red flag dashboards, recommend controls to mitigate risks identified and ongoing review of any loss‑making jobs to mitigate further losses from occurring.

Automation and Artificial Intelligence (AI)

Automation and Digitisation Projects:

Identify finance and reporting processes suitable for automation and implementation of solutions

Lead the digitisation of financial records, approvals and reporting systems across the Group

Streamline month‑end and year‑end processes through technology solutions

AI and Data Analytics Utilisation:

Implement AI‑based tools for predictive analytics, anomaly detection, and enhanced forecasting – including cashflow forecasting

Use AI and machine learning to identify cost savings and operational efficiencies.

Develop dashboards and self‑service reporting tools for management using BI platforms

Special Projects lead for group restructure:

Responsible for the preparation and maintenance of financial models, including the collation review and submission of requested information for due diligence and financial reporting.

Various other internal audit and risk mitigation and management projects as directed by the Divisional Financial Director and/or Group Financial Director

Internal Audit

Developing and Management of Audit Plans:

Design and implement risk‑based internal audit plans and strategies.

Ensure audit activities align with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.

Lead and supervise internal audit engagements from planning to reporting.

Risk assessment and Internal Control Evaluation:

Identify and evaluate areas of risk within the organization.

Recommend controls and procedures to mitigate those risks.

Review of internal controls and risk mitigation on the Group ERP system and other integrated systems and software

Ensure adherence to internal policies, external regulations, and industry best practices.

Reporting and Communication:

Prepare clear, concise audit reports with findings and actionable recommendations.

Present findings to senior management and the audit committee.

Finance Control, Reporting&Budgeting

Review and approval of Corporate requisitions

Review budget consolidation files and the final Group Budget reporting pack

Review and authorisation of the monthly sub‑ledger and general ledger reconciliations for entities under the control of Head Office, such as:

Full monthly Balance Sheet reconciliation review

Creditors Trial Balance review

Responsible for the review and collation of the monthly Group WIP, Debtors&Creditors ageing and credit note schedules.

External Audit

Liaising with group auditors and assist with annual group external audit planning

Assist with the year‑end audit consolidation process and other external audit requirements

Preparation of Annual Financial Statements in accordance with of IFRS for SME’s
