Job Title Professional Nurse– Mental Health Facility

Purpose of Position To provides age-appropriate patient care according to the nursing scope of practice as defined by the South African Nursing Council (SANC).

Key Performance Areas

Practice within the scope of practice as a Registered Nurse.

Comply with Hospital Policies and Regulations.

Possess excellent inter‑personal skills.

Provide safe, quality patient care in the ward.

Minimum Requirements

Grade 12 education.

Registered with SANC as a Registered Nurse.

Preferably have two or more years of experience as a Registered Nurse within a hospital setting.

Prepared to do shift‑work (night shift/day shift).

Skills

Excellent telephone skills.

Excellent inter‑personal skills.

Able to work independently under minimum supervision.

Excellent observation skills.
