Senior Bookkeeper, Durban

Introduction

Will be required to do the bookkeeping for 15 companies in the Group, including processing and reviewing books to trial balance and management reporting, VAT and PAYE calculations and submissions, and preparation for annual year end and annual financial statements. Duties&Responsibilities

Invoicing Process Petty Cash and reconcile Cash on hand Manage the fixed asset register Maintain depreciation of fixed asset register Capture opening balance adjustments from yearend completed Ensure that all income statements and balance sheet items are balanced monthly Process bank recons, intercompany loans, Debtors, Creditors, Petty Cash, Interest, Salaries, and depreciationPrepare Management Accounts VAT recons Reconcile Vatable turnover to Trial Balance Assist with VAT audits and verifications Process monthly Payroll Journals and submit PAYE returns Prepare weekly / monthly cash flows Load payments and salary transfers Instruct Creditors Clerks to load payments and capture supplier invoicesEnsure payments made are correct Ensure that invoices captured correctly by Creditors Clerk Ensure that invoice are signed / authorised before paying General filing and admin Adhere to SOPs for processing, source documents, and statutory recons Complete provisional tax calculations Prepare yearend working paper files and annual financial statementsLiaise with Accountants on queries and review of prepared Annual Financial Statements Desired Experience&Qualification

SARS e-Filing Experience drafting financial statements for multiple companies (essential) Excellent verbal and written communication skills Able to work under pressure Able to meet strict deadlines Customer service orientated Able to work independently Interested?
