Procurement Specialist - Urgently needed, Durban

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Procurement Specialist in Mobeni to manage and oversee procurement and planning functions within the business. This role requires a strong understanding of supply chain principles, with a specific focus on procurement strategy, supplier management, and demand planning. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring cost‑effective purchasing, maintaining supplier integrity, and supporting operational efficiency.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage the end‑to‑end procurement process, including sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing. Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and service providers. Oversee procurement planning to ensure optimal stock levels and availability. Monitor market trends and pricing to ensure competitive procurement strategies.Ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures. Identify and mitigate procurement risks, including fraud prevention. Lead and manage a team, ensuring performance targets and operational goals are met. Collaborate with internal departments to align procurement with business needs. Maintain accurate procurement records and reporting.REQUIREMENTS

Relevant qualification in Supply Chain, Procurement, Logistics, or related field. Experience in implementing procurement controls and risk mitigation processes. Proven managerial experience leading a team of at least five employees. Strong knowledge of supply chain management.
