HCRW Production Manager, Durban

Role Description The HCRW (Healthcare Risk Waste) Production Manager will oversee daily operations related to the collection, transport, treatment, and disposal of healthcare risk waste. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with environmental and regulatory standards, supervising on-site operations, managing teams, streamlining production processes, monitoring quality control, and maintaining operational efficiency. The role also requires close collaboration with clients to deliver tailored waste management solutions. This is a full-time, on-site role based in the Mknondeni Ashburton PMB Area.

Qualifications

Operational management skills, including production planning and team supervision

Strong knowledge of waste management processes and regulatory compliance, specifically related to healthcare risk waste

Proficiency in quality control and process improvement methodologies

Excellent problem-solving, organizational, HR and communication skills

Experience in the environmental or waste management industry preferred

Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Waste Management, or a related discipline; equivalent professional experience will be considered

Knowledge of workplace safety and hazardous materials protocols is advantageous
