Description

Requirements:

  • Matric certificate
  • Hospitality qualification
  • Valid drivers license and own transport (for late shifts)
  • Experience with Restaurant administration and system controls is essential
  • Must have at least 3 years Restaurant floor management / Bar management experience
  • Must have good stock management skills
  • Must have knowledge of budgets and costings
  • Must be willing to work late (restaurant and bar hours)

 

Main duties will include:

  • Staff management / training to follow restaurant procedures
  • Floor management
  • Opening and closing procedures
  • Maintaining food & safety quality standards
  • Organising schedules
  • Keeping track of employees' hours
  • Ordering food, linens, gloves and other supplies while staying within budget limitations
  • Supervising daily shift operations
  • Ensuring all end of day cash outs are correctly completed
  • Coordinating daily front-of-house restaurant operations
  • Controlling operational costs and identifying ways to cut waste
  • Appraising staff performance
  • Interacting with guests to get feedback on product quality and service levels
