Bookkeeper / Costing Support, East London

Bookkeeper / Costing Support required for a wholesale / supply company based in East London

Minimum Requirements

• Diploma in Bookkeeping or similar / extensive previous experience fulfilling a similar role
• Minimum 3 years' bookkeeping experience
• Strong Pastel experience (essential)
• Proven experience capturing and managing stock on Pastel (essential)
• Solid understanding of bookkeeping from capturing through to trial balance
• Stable employment history

Key Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:

• Daily capturing on Pastel
• Stock capturing and stock-related transactions
• Job, project, and short-term costings
• Reconciliations (bank, creditors, debtors, stock)
• Supporting management with costing and profitability information
• Preparing accurate records for review by the Chartered Accountant

• Strong attention to detail
• Practical, logical approach to accounting entries
• Ability to explain transactions clearly
  (e.g. how to capture the purchase of a new vehicle correctly in Pastel)
• Reliable, disciplined, and professional work ethic
