We are seeking an experienced IT Systems & Software Developer / Software Engineer / Backend Developer to support, maintain, and enhance enterprise systems, ERP platforms, and business applications across the organisation.

This role is ideal for developers with experience in system integration, APIs, backend development, and enterprise application support within a commercial or property environment.

About the Role

As an IT Systems & Software Developer, you will play a key role in system development, integration, and optimisation, ensuring reliable and scalable enterprise solutions.
You will work across software development, system support (Tier 2/3), ERP integration, and digital transformation projects, contributing to both project-based initiatives and business-as-usual operations.

Key Responsibilities

Software Development & System Integration (Developer Jobs South Africa)

• Develop and maintain backend services, APIs, and system integrations
• Contribute to frontend components where required
• Ensure system integration using APIs, ETL tools, and scripting
• Deliver secure, scalable, and high-performance solutions

Enterprise Systems & ERP Support

• Support enterprise applications, including ERP and accounting systems
• Provide Tier 2/3 support for escalated system issues
• Assist with system upgrades, patch management, and configuration changes
• Ensure minimal disruption to business operations

Implementation, Testing & Deployment (CI/CD Jobs)

• Support implementation and rollout of new systems and applications
• Participate in testing, code reviews, and deployment processes
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and release management
• Provide post-deployment support and system optimisation

Data, Reporting & Process Improvement

• Ensure data integrity, reporting accuracy, and system performance
• Design and support internal and external business reports
• Analyse systems and processes to reduce manual work and improve efficiency

Stakeholder & Vendor Management

• Gather business requirements and translate them into technical specifications
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, management, and external vendors
• Support cross-functional teams in delivering technology solutions

Minimum Requirements

• Degree in IT, Computer Science, or Software Development
• 3–5 years’ experience in software development and systems integration
• Experience working in project-based and BAU environments
• Experience with ERP systems and accounting system integration (advantageous)
• Property or real estate industry experience (advantageous)
• Advanced Excel and strong computer literacy

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in at least one backend language: C#, .NET, Java, Node.js (JavaScript / TypeScript), Python, or C++
• Experience with APIs, integrations, and ETL tools
• Understanding of system architecture, databases, and application performance
• Exposure to CI/CD, version control, and deployment processes
• Scripting and automation experience (advantageous)
