System Administrator Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced System Administrator to join our team. The System Administrator will be responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of our computer systems and servers. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent troubleshooting skills, and a passion for technology.Key Responsibilities: Install, configure, and maintain computer systems and servers Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as backups and updates Identify and resolve hardware and software issues Manage user accounts and permissions Ensure network security and data protectionCollaborate with other IT staff to implement new systems and upgrades Train and support end-users on software and hardware usage Document system configurations and procedures Stay up-to-date with new technologies and industry trends Qualifications and Skills: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related fieldMinimum of 3 years of experience as a System Administrator Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V) Familiarity with network protocols and security standards Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and in a team environmentStrong communication and interpersonal skills Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks Certification in relevant technologies is a plus (e.g. Microsoft, Cisco, VMware)
