Fruit and Veg Manager, East London

Requirements

Proven experience as a Fruit&Veg Manager or similar role in FMCG retail. Strong knowledge of fresh produce handling and quality control. Excellent leadership and people management skills. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Strong planning, organisational, and communication skills. Basic computer literacy for ordering and reporting.Relevant retail or food safety qualifications (advantageous). Key Responsibilities

Manage daily operations of the Fruit&Veg department. Ensure high standards of freshness, quality, and visual merchandising. Control stock levels, reduce wastage, and manage shrinkage. Achieve sales targets and maximise gross profit. Manage ordering, receiving, and stock rotation. Lead, train, and motivate department staff. Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health&safety standards. Deliver excellent customer service and resolve customer queries.
