Estimator/Junior Quantity Surveyor, George

The Estimator/Junior Quantity Surveyor will assist the Project Manager to ensure that projects are accurately planned and delivered within budget. Preparing accurate quantity take-offs and submitting timely cost estimates for new construction or refurbishment tenders, as well as cost variations to ongoing projects.Requirements

To be successful in this position you must: Be able to read construction drawings and quantify materials. Be familiar with the format and preparation of a Bill of Quantities. Be willing and able to learn quickly. Be a team player. Have excellent written and verbal communications skills. Possess the following:Associate’s Degree in Building Construction Technology or a related field At least one year of experience in a similar role; The following will be a bonus: Have the ability to inspect trends in construction to determine whether your estimates are both reasonable and competitive A valid driver’s licenseA Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or a related field
