3 - 5 years' experience in an Accountant role  SAGE Pastel Evolution  Knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations and tax laws  Strong financial processing, analysis, reconciliation and reporting skills Creditors and debtors’ management Daily/monthly Bank reconciliation checks Maintain accuracy of general ledger accounts Processing Accruals and provision journals Perform month-end and year-end accounts closure process Year-end adjustments and facilitating audit requirements Ensure compliance with accounting standards and relevant legal requirements Checking all reconciliations and ensure payments are done timeously Ensure all statutory returns are submitted and paid timeously  (SARS VAT/STATS) Maintenance of fixed asset register Insurance Monthly Journal Forex payment preparation
