Job Description

We are seeking a Group Financial Controller on behalf of a leading organisation to oversee the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of consolidated financial reporting across its subsidiaries. This role is critical in ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, strengthening financial controls, and driving consistency in reporting standards across the Group.

Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will manage the structured collection and consolidation of financial data, including actuals, budgets, and forecasts. They will be responsible for preparing and reviewing month-end reporting packs, including flash reports, executive summaries, and detailed financial analyses. The role involves liaising with divisions and shared services to assess controls, processes, and reconciliations, ensuring the quality of underlying data. In addition, the Group Financial Controller will provide technical financial guidance aligned with Group policies, support external audit processes, and ensure compliance with statutory and taxation requirements. This includes reviewing tax submissions, supporting regulatory reporting, and contributing to transfer pricing compliance. The role will also assist in treasury reporting, enabling effective foreign exchange risk management, and drive initiatives to enhance profitability through financial analysis and strategic insight.

Requirements:

Candidates should hold a degree in Financial Accounting and demonstrate strong knowledge of IFRS, corporate consolidation, and taxation principles. Proven experience in financial management, including exposure to external audits and statutory compliance, is essential. The ideal candidate will have experience working with accounting and consolidation systems such as SAP and Cognos, along with strong proficiency in MS Office. Key competencies include excellent analytical ability, strong communication skills, and the capacity to plan and organise effectively. A minimum of 2–3 years’ supervisory experience within an accounting environment is required.
