SAP PS Consultant – Construction Industry, Germiston

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced SAP PS Consultant with strong Construction Industry experience to support, implement, and optimise SAP Project Systems (PS) solutions across large-scale construction and infrastructure projects.

The successful candidate will work closely with project managers, finance teams, procurement, engineering, and operational stakeholders to ensure efficient project planning, costing, budgeting, resource management, and project execution within the SAP environment.

The role requires deep understanding of project lifecycle management, WBS structures, CAPEX/OPEX tracking, project billing, cost control, and integration with other SAP modules.

RequirementsSAP PS Functional Responsibilities

• Configure and support SAP Project Systems (PS) solutions aligned with business requirements.

• Support project budgeting, forecasting, cost tracking, and settlement processes.
  
• Configure project profiles, coding masks, status profiles, and cost planning structures.
  
• Manage project execution processes from initiation through closure.
  
• Support CAPEX project accounting and investment management processes.
  
• Facilitate project reporting and analytics.
  

Construction Industry Responsibilities

• Support construction and infrastructure project operations within SAP.
  
• Ensure accurate tracking of:
  
  • Labour
    
  • Materials
    
  • Equipment
    
  • Subcontractor costs
    
  • Project timelines
    
• Assist with project procurement and contractor management integration.
  
• Support progress billing and project revenue recognition processes.
  
• Work with engineering and site teams to improve operational efficiencies.
  

Integration Responsibilities

• Integrate SAP PS with:

  • SAP FI/CO (Finance & Controlling)
    
  • SAP PM (Plant Maintenance)
    
  • SAP SD (Sales & Distribution)
    
  • SAP HCM/SF where applicable
    
• Collaborate with technical teams on enhancements, interfaces, reports, and data migration activities.
  

Stakeholder & Support Responsibilities

• Conduct workshops and gather business requirements.
  
• Provide end-user support and training.
  
• Prepare functional specifications and process documentation.
  
• Support testing activities including:
  
  • Unit Testing
    
  • SIT
    
  • UAT
    
• Participate in SAP implementation, upgrade, and enhancement projects.
  

Minimum Requirements
Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in:
  
  • Information Systems
    
  • Engineering
    
  • Finance
    
  • Construction Management
    
  • or related field
    
• SAP PS Certification advantageous.
  

Experience

• 5+ years SAP PS functional consulting experience.
  
• Proven experience within the Construction, Engineering, Infrastructure, or EPC industry.
  
• Strong understanding of end-to-end project lifecycle processes.
  
• Experience with large-scale SAP implementations or support environments.
  
• Experience integrating SAP PS with SAP FI/CO and MM.
