Copywriter, Johannesburg

Freedom Won has an opportunity for an intermediate to senior Copywriter who will create unique copy committed to solving problems and
thinking creatively while raising the bar. We need a versatile and experienced storyteller who can compose short and long formats, think for a
range of advertising media, write technical specifications, engaging blogs/articles and everything in between.
As the master wordsmith of our communications team, you will engage with our members and future members through compelling written
messages. This includes writing, editing and refining copy about our products and services across a variety of online and offline platforms. In
addition to ensuring the accuracy and brand consistency of our content, you need to take a creative approach to projects and look for
opportunities to evolve our messaging.

Key Responsibilities:
• Write and edit copy that supports content, marketing and organisational initiatives.
• Ensure outgoing communications are consistent with Freedom Won brand voice and delivered on time with clear, concise language.
• Drive the content writing process for the website and high-level, strategic messaging for major projects.
• Support all communications channels (email, social, blog, lead generation, brand awareness, PPC, branch marketing, PR) through
collaboration on content production and review.
• Communicate with our teams and be able to work in an agile work environment.
• Concept, write and edit campaigns for digital, print, and video. Also emails, social channels & website copy.
• Research products and services across all business lines to write accurate copy for assigned projects.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across the organisation and external partners to gather and incorporate feedback on copy.
• Have strong B2B experience and/or experience in an agency or large brand name marketing department.
• Demonstrate an ability to understand technical concepts and translate them into effective messaging.
• Maintain and refine content writing style guide and brand voice guidelines.
• Contribute to content marketing strategy development.
• Serve as day-to-day coordinator for PR agency and maintain media guidelines.
• Excellent eye for detail and grasp of technical information.
• Work with the Technical Team, Sales and Creative to develop top-notch tech copy of Freedom Won's products for B2B campaigns.

Skills and Experience:
• Grade 12 (Matric)
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Advertising, English or equivalent preferred.
• 3+ years related marketing, communications and/or writing experience.
• Advanced writing and editing skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Master of grammar and usage.
• Experience writing for a variety of online and offline marketing channels
• Experience working with designers and project managers, along with agency, freelance and third-party vendors, to produce marketing
materials.
