Head of Finance and Organisational Support, Johannesburg

A Global Christian Organisation seeks a Head of Finance and Organisational Support for Africa and Latin America that will be based in Johannesburg, South Africa. Founded in 1955, the organisation works in over 70 countries, providing social economic support, capacity building, literature, advocacy, and prayer to Christians in places where being a follower of Jesus Christ can mean discrimination, loss of livelihood, loss of liberty, loss of life. The primary responsibility of the HFOS is to increase operational efficiency in the Organizational Support Departments providing leadership to the diverse teams of Finance, People and Culture (HR), ICT and overseeing daily activities. Min Requirements:

Committed Christian

B Degree in Finance or Similar

English as first language

10 years + applicable leadership experience, ideally in a Not for Profit Organisation

Salary: R865 000 – R900 000 Cost To Company per Annum

Purpose of position:

• Enable Leadership to make informed decisions based on accurate financial data.
• Oversee the conducting of regional budget reviews with relevant teams and finance and report to management. Monitor implementation within budget framework.
• Maintain the financial health of the organization through overseeing the implementation and adherence of appropriate financial policies and procedures.
• Develop trends and projections for the organization's finances.
• Oversee operations of the finance department, set goals and objectives, and design a framework for these to be met.
• Manage the preparation of the annual regional budget.
• Deliver competent and efficient operational support through the development of a strong Organisational Support team; with a solid foundation of the Vision and Mission, Core Values and Field values of the organization.
• Lead, motivate and support a growing HOS department and team including the setup and implementation of career development plans for all direct reports and problem resolution.
• Maintain effective collaboration and communication between Organisational Support functions and all other departments within the organization.
• Set and actively pursue strategic and operational objectives to accomplish ministry vision, playing a leading role in long-term planning, and to work towards operational excellence.
• Improving the operational systems, processes and policies in support of the organization's mission.
• Ensure operational activities remain on time and within defined budgets.
• Support better management reporting, information flow and management, business process and organizational planning.
• Maintain an excellent understanding of all ministry standards and procedures in terms of Finance, IT and People & Culture. Maintain all risk and compliance standards and processes.
