Sports Betting Retail Manager, Johannesburg

A leading premier sportsbook company that offers a phenomenal variety of online betting opportunities are looking for a Sports Betting Retail Manager to join their team in Johannesburg. You will be responsible for the planning, organisation, co-ordination and management of operations of all their betting shops and teams. Your key job responsibilities as the Sports Betting Retail Manager in Johannesburg will include:

• Understand the Business unit strategy and align the objectives and plans for the sports betting and other affiliated sports betting retail outlets and a delivery plan to grow, maintain and optimise the retail business
• Collaborate with the GM: Sports Betting and Group Exec: Alternate Gaming to identify potential new betting shop opportunities and growth areas
• Develop and manage new betting shops from conception, start-up, launch through to post-launch analyses of results
• Conduct risk analyses i.t.o impact on short term profit margins vs. long term sustainability
• Provide short- and long-term market forecasts and reports by conducting market research collection, analysis, and interpretation of market data
• Investigate operational practices and benchmark with leading trends and technology within the sports betting retail industry
• Influence present and future products by determining and evaluating current and future consumer market trends
• Elicit new business opportunities and leverage relationships to promote revenues; competitive edge and business growth including liaising with land-based properties to leverage and cross-sell customers
• Collaborate with marketing acquisition to develop and facilitate programmes and initiatives to convert retail customers into active online accounts
• Provide guidance and support to management and employees with regard to sports betting retail operational policies, procedures, initiatives and innovations

Requirements for this Sports Betting Retail Manager job in Johannesburg:

• 3 Year Diploma / Degree in Business Management or other relevant field
• Minimum of 8 years' experience in sports betting, including 3 years supervisory experience
• Experience in sports betting retail models
• Meet all requirements for a key gaming licence
• May be required to work irregular hours in line with operational requirements
• Sports Betting Product & Software knowledge
• SHE legislative knowledge and execution
