Android Software Developer, Johannesburg

Our Client in the MedTech space is looking for a Technical self-driven highly motivated Android developer to join they mobile team, this is a remote position the developer will focus on implementing and deploying end to end development, android applications and maintaining current software and new software for our customer base. This role will enhance integration into several APIS and coding skills using different designs

Our Tech Savvy candidate will be responsible for:

• Communicate and enforce coding standards and efficiency for Android applications
• Implement and maintain live apps and work on optimizing them at the code level
• Identify systems defiences and implement effective solutions
• Code and test programs modules that meet design specifications
• Work with cross-functional team to define and design new features
• Staying up to date with new mobile technology trends, applications, and protocols
• Experience with third-party libraries and APIs
• Knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies
• Understand the full mobile development life cycle.

Qualifications and Experience

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
• 5-7 years' experience as an Android Developer using Kotlin, Java, Android SDK, Android NDK
• Experience in publishing an application on the Google Play store
• Work experience in design patterns mobile architecture using frameworks such as MVVM/MVC/MVP
• Knowledge of RESTful APIs to effectively integrate Android applications (GraphQL)
• Using version control as (e.g. Git)
• Familiarity with various testing tools
• Knowledge using CD/CI tools (Fastlane, Bitrise)
• Good Analytic skills
