Application Security Architect, Johannesburg

Our client in the Telecommunications Sector requires an Application Security Architect on a 12-month contract to drive the Application security requirements and architecture deliverables for new lines of business, such as, Mobile Money, Media, and Entertainment, Digital. These initiatives are underway therefore a self-starter who can quickly make an impact and influence the security design of these and other new initiatives that in the pipeline will suit this requirement.

Key Requirements:

• The Application Security Architect is responsible for comprehensively reviewing the existing and new software application security configurations (on-premises and cloud), influencing change in the security controls standards, creation of easily consumed IT security standards, creation of application security architectures patterns & diagrams, and ownership of the application security capability roadmap.
• The application security architect role is a valued partner to development and engineering teams (internal and outsourced) to ensure secure architectures, patterns, and solutions are created and maintained for key applications for example the Fintech, digital, IoT and Cloud environments.
• Security requirements and architecture deliverables experience for new lines of business, such as, Mobile Money, Media, and Entertainment, Digital will be a strong advantage.
