Human Resources Manager, Johannesburg

A well established Manufacturing / Transport company is in the market for a seasoned HR professional to come on board their team. The successful incumbent should have have at least 5 years experience in a similar role. - Johannesburg Gauteng

Duties:

• Training and development
• Policies
• CCMA, dealings
• Payroll + Overtime
• Provide full HR/IR support and advice to employees and line managers
• Provide support in investigations for disciplinary and grievance procedures
• Observe procedure and advise during disciplinary enquiries
• Develop and maintain constructive working relationships with UNION
• Keep abreast of current trends and ensure that procedures are updated with legislation
• Participate on wage negotiations
• Drive the implementation of the planned training
• Update job descriptions as and when required
• Ensure that you remain an expert on all HR policies and are able to consult and advise

Min Requirements

• Degree / Diploma in Human Resources or Industrial relations.
• Experience in the Steel and or Manufacturing and or transport / freight Industry (Advantageous)
• Minimum 5 years experience in HR
• Negotiating with relevant Unions
• Experience in dealing with- MIBCO, NUMSA, Roadfreight
• Must be operationally driven
• High EQ ( emotional intellegence)
• Self starter who is able to work independently
• Experience in the support of at least 100 Staff 
• Industrial relations and Labour Law knowledge and experience
• Experience in Payroll 
• Experience in taking Disciplinary action
