Staff Nurse Grade 1, Johannesburg

A Government Corporate Client requires a Staff Nurse (Grade1) to assist clients with activities of daily living (physical care). Provide elementary clinical nursing care. Maintain professional growth/ethical standards and self development. To care for clients re basic needs i.e. nutrition, safety and security, hygiene, skin integrity, elimination, comfort. Communication, rest and sleep, social, aesthetic and emotional needs. Measure, interpret and record vital signs: Observes clients for changes in condition or behavior and report changes. Provides fundamental nursing care and treatment to individual patients on instruction of professional or physician. Provides education to patients re health promotion, prevention of disease and self care and assist professional nurse with the resuscitation of patients. 

Grade 12 plus two years PEN 2 Certificate that allows registration with the South African Nursing Council. Coupled by Less than 3 years' appropriate/recognizable Nursing experience after registration with the SANC as Staff

Enrolled Nurse Current registration with South African Nursing Council as a Nursing Assistant. Competencies: knowledge of nursing care processes and procedures, nursing statues, and other relevant legal frameworks such as: Nursing Act, Health Act, Occupational Health and Safety Ace, Patient Rights Charter, Batho-pele principles, Public Service Regulations, Labour Relations Act, Disciplinary Code and Procedure, Grievance Procedure, etc. Elementary communication skills, writing skills, ability to function as part of a team and interpersonal skills. Valid drivers license will serve as an advantage.
