Business Development Manager – Project Based, Johannesburg

This role exists to build key donor relationships, identify business opportunities, negotiate and close business partnership deals.

Requirements: Qualifications & Experience:

• A tertiary qualification at NQF7, preferably a post graduate business qualification (e.g. MBA)
• Successful history of or proven track record in fundraising / grants management at a medium-sized NGO level
• Leadership experience
• 5 – 10 years minimum experience in grants management
• Successful history of or proven track record in stakeholder management
• Track record and experience in excellent communication (oral and written), as well as engagement at the highest levels
• Knowledge of BBBEE scorecards
• Experience in using social media in the fundraising arena

Requirements: Technical Skills

• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Analytical skills (analyse and interpret data and information to reach donor requirements and targets set)
• Customer service – apply skills of stakeholder management in a specific donor environment
• Report writing
• Attention to detail
• People supervision

• Advanced MS Office skills
