Description

General Manager: Business Support Systems will be accountable to achieve the following objectives:

  • Ownership the BBS strategy and application portfolio across all functional areas
  • Formulate and run the BSS transformation program across the relevant OpCos
  • Alignment with Group Commercial/ Digital/EBU to identify opportunities to utilize relevant solutions to innovate new products and services with the intent of driving    customer value and revenue
  • Ensure customer experience and service objectives are being met by the core BSS platforms to support all OpCo's and recommend areas for improvement or corrective action
  • Drive a demand management process to ensure application core is standardized and implemented across all operations and review the process to ensure and enable improvements
  • Ensure alignment of core business with future business and technology changes and align vendor roadmaps to ensure the achievements thereof
  • Work with Group Procurement in selecting appropriate vendors for customer revenue management as well as provide input into service level requirement and vendor KPI's including inputs into the management of revenue sharing models, opportunities and relationships with third parties
  • Alignment with the Revenue assurance and Fraud management teams to ensure platforms and technologies have the primary controls in place with secondary controls enabled to through effective technology solutions
  • Build and maintain effective integration strategy to enable loosely coupled IT Applications to drive agile service delivery
  • Ensure that Group Technology and ICT services effectively enable revenue generating lines of business to provide optimal customer service and experience as well as   enable revenue generation as effectively as possible
  • Develop cost management KPI's and drive cost management for serving customers through optimal platform capabilities and standardization relating the cost to serve customers
  •  Lead the development of the Customer Channels strategy in line with overarching Group Technology goals with an emphasis on user experience and customer journey
  •  Manage the unification of portals and charnels to service all customers/partners/agents

Requirements

  • Minimum 4 year Academic degree with honours (BEng/ Bsc Degree Preferred)
  • MBA or Masters advantageous
  • Relevant certification/accreditation/membership with professional body as required for role
  • English, French and Arabic (Advangeous)
