The System Support Consultant has the responsibility of assessing country business needs and requirements and translate these into best workable system solutions. The successful incumbent will be required to review business systems and advise business stakeholders on ways to support business processes by optimising system capabilities.
Output/Core Tasks:
Successful candidate's responsibilities will include, amongst others, the following:-
? Administer and manage service delivery of vendors and provide business support for system development.
? Provide system support to countries to align the technology with the business strategies.
? Provide System Helpdesk Support to all countries.
? Recommend controls by identifying problems and implementing improved procedures.
? Manage quality of development life cycle - Quality of delivery of solution in relation to solution design - Input into development of test plans / cases - Measure and monitor delivery timeline ? Provide input into hand-over process to support structures for both BAU and Projects.
? Provide implementation and post implementation support.
? Manage project deliverables for Verification and User Acceptance Testing and prioritise work according to delivery requirements.
? Test Resource Planning, test status reporting and quality assurance for business requirements and development releases.
? Management Reporting on benefit tracking, turnaround time and quality of development releases.
? Liaise with user groups to provide training, assess user needs based on system skills level.
? Ensure priority alignment of development activities with SEM and Sanlam Group across all countries in support of Cluster strategy.
? Ensuring design and implementation of fit for purpose support models for operational and IT activities for subsidiaries and associates.
? Ensure solutions adhere to appropriate policies and regulations.
? Maintain system protocols by writing and updating procedures.
? Provide technical assistance in identifying, evaluating and developing solutions and procedures that are cost effective and meet business requirements.
Requirements:
? Diploma/Degree or relevant business related tertiary qualification or a recognised BA certification
? 5 years relevant experience as a business analyst or 5 years' experience as operational specialist obtained in the insurance industry
? Ability to speak French or Portuguese will be an advantage
? Project management experience
? Computer literacy – MS Office - well developed skills
? MS Project, MS Visio, Access and SQL will be advantageous
? Academic and technical business experience
