Senior Mechanical Engineer, Johannesburg

Hire Resolve's Client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join their innovative team. In this role, you will leverage your expertise to design and implement complex mechanical systems for a variety of projects, ensuring high standards of quality and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and oversee mechanical engineering projects from concept to completion

Design and analyse mechanical systems, ensuring they meet project specifications and compliance

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including electrical, structural, and project management

Conduct feasibility studies and technical assessments to guide project direction

Prepare detailed engineering documentation, including calculations, specifications, and reports

Perform testing and validation of designs to confirm performance criteria

Mentor and support junior engineers in their professional development

Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices

Participate in client meetings and presentations to communicate engineering solutions

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field

A minimum of 7 years of relevant engineering experience

Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred

Strong proficiency in CAD software; experience with 3D modeling is a plus

In-depth knowledge of mechanical systems and components (HVAC, plumbing, etc.)

Excellent problem-solving skills and analytical thinking

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Ability to manage multiple projects and work to tight deadlines
