Position Summary Tangent International is urgently hiring an experienced NOC Manager to oversee network operations and lead mission‑critical telecom support functions. This role is vital in ensuring network stability, rapid incident resolution, and operational excellence across RAN, Core, and IP domains.
Detailed Job Description As the NOC Manager, you will lead a multidisciplinary operations team responsible for maintaining high network availability and resolving major incidents. You will oversee both Front Office (FO) and Back Office (BO) activities while ensuring robust processes across monitoring, troubleshooting, escalation, and service restoration. This position demands deep technical expertise across mobile networks, strong leadership capabilities, and the ability to manage high‑pressure situations involving critical outages. Working within a fast‑paced telecom environment, you will play a key role in safeguarding network performance and driving operational efficiency. This is an excellent opportunity to support high‑impact services for one of South Africa’s majormarkets.
✅ Key Responsibilities
Lead day‑to‑day NOC operations for RAN, Core, and IP domains.
Manage Front Office teams and guide Back Office specialists to ensure rapid issue resolution.
Oversee incident management, troubleshooting, escalation, and service restoration activities.
Ensure timely resolution of high‑severity failures and network‑impacting events.
Implement best practices for O&M operations and improve network stability KPIs.
Coordinate with cross‑functional engineering, field teams, and vendor partners.
Produce operational reports, incident reviews, and continuous improvement plans.
Required Qualifications&Skills
Minimum 8 years in telecom O&M, including 3 years as BO specialist and 2 years in FO leadership.
Hands‑on experience resolving critical failure scenarios:
RAN: Massive MIMO beam failure
Core: AMF cluster outage
IP: BGP route leakage
Mandatory certification: CCIE / HCIE or equivalent expert‑level accreditation.
Strong understanding of end‑to‑end mobile network architecture (RAN, CN, IP).
Proven leadership experience in high‑pressure NOC environments.
Excellent communication, coordination, and incident management skills.
Must be currently based in South Africa (due to urgent hiring timeline).
✨ Nice‑to‑Have Skills
3GPP architecture certifications (e.g., 5G NR Advanced).
Experience managing multi‑vendor telecom networks.
Strong analytical and RCA (Root Cause Analysis) capabilities.
Knowledge of automation or network monitoring tools.
Background in operator‑side NOC environments.
