Senior Software Developer, Johannesburg

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software Developer to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development and programming, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements

Design, develop, and implement software solutions that meet project requirements

Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code

Perform code reviews and provide feedback to junior developers

Troubleshoot and debug issues in existing software applications

Lead technical discussions and provide guidance on best practices

Stay up-to-date on industry trends and advancements in software development

Mentor and train junior developers to help them grow their skills

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field

5+ years of experience in software development

Strong proficiency in backend development

Familiarity with cloud computing platforms such as AWS or Azure

Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
