We are looking for passionate and committed Technology Consultants to join our Technology Strategy Consulting Capability The BSG Exchange (our Johannesburg location) is situated in the Oxford Glenhove Precinct, within walking distance of the Rosebank Gautrain station. Location: Johannesburg This role delivers high-impact technical execution in cloud infrastructure and DevOps automation.Main Purpose of the Role The Cloud&DevOps Engineer independently designs, implements, and optimizes secure, scalable systems across AWS, Azure, and GCP. Supporting both client delivery and internal capability growth, this role is key to ensuring technical excellence, innovation, and mentorship within the engineering team. Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Systems (Honours preferred)EXPERIENCE 5+ years in Cloud&DevOps engineering roles Proven experience with CI/CD, IaC, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) Experience mentoring junior engineers and contributing to technical communities Strong background in scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell) Design and implement complex cloud architectures and CI/CD pipelinesTroubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and deployment issues Ensure high availability, security, and performance of client solutions Capability Development: Mentor junior engineers and contribute to internal knowledge bases Lead by example in adopting best practices and automation Client Engagement:Participate in technical discovery and solution design with clients Contribute to reusable frameworks and accelerators Operational Excellence: Optimise cloud resource usage and reduce operational costs Track and report on system health and performance metrics CI/CD and IaC (Terraform, Jenkins, GitHub Actions) - AdvancedScripting and Automation - Advanced Monitoring and Observability - Intermediate Communication and Documentation - Advanced Technical excellence and continuous improvement You are a technically curious, solutions-driven engineer who thrives in dynamic environments.
