Job Overview Business Segment: Personal&Private Banking Location: ZA, GP, Johannesburg, 5 Simmonds Street Lead the design and implementation of enterprise-wide cloud architecture on AWS, driving strategic transformation across SB Group. This role defines and maintains AWS reference architectures, ensures alignment with business goals, and guides solution teams in adopting scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud solutions. The architect will act as a trusted advisor on AWS strategy, governance, and emerging technologies, enabling SB Group to modernize its technology landscape through cloud innovation.Qualifications Type of Qualification:

Experience Required Lead the design and implementation of cloud-native architecture patterns and solutions on the AWS platform to support SB Group’s enterprise-wide digital transformation. Define and maintain the AWS-specific reference architectures, ensuring alignment with SB Group’s enterprise architecture principles and business objectives.Drive the adoption of AWS services across business units, ensuring scalability, security, and cost-efficiency in cloud deployments. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AWS cloud capabilities into existing enterprise systems and processes. Evaluate and recommend AWS tools and services that enhance operational efficiency, resilience, and agility across the SB Group landscape.Responsibilities Act as the principal advisor on AWS cloud architecture for SB Group, guiding solution architects and delivery teams on best practices and trade-offs. Develop architecture position papers and strategic roadmaps specifically focused on AWS platform evolution, emerging cloud technologies, and their relevance to SB Group.Lead cloud governance initiatives, including tagging strategies, cost optimization, and compliance enforcement within the AWS environment. Establish and maintain AWS architecture patterns and reusable components to accelerate solution delivery and reduce technical debt. Represent SB Group in external AWS forums, partner engagements, and industry benchmarking exercises to ensure alignment with global cloud architecture trends.Additional Information
