Distribution Services Manager [Logistics], Johannesburg

Hire Resolve's client is seeking a Distribution Services Manager to join their team in Johannesburg, GP. This role enhances the company's analytical capabilities to drive productivity, improve customer service, and increase profitability. It focuses on optimizing the logistics network, distribution footprint, and service levels through strategic route-to-market planning.

Key Responsibilities

Interface with Commercial, Customer Growth Teams, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Logistics, and Senior Executive Committee to align on Logistics footprint, Route to Market and volume allocation.

Interface with Finance and Regional Teams to align on budget development and analysis on optimization opportunities to deliver Logistics commitments.

Interact with Distribution Centres, Strategic Distributors and Regions to ensure alignment between plans and operational outputs.

Engage with the Logistics&Distribution Forums to conduct benchmarking, identify and develop best in class ways of work in the Logistics Distribution fraternity.

Manage engagements with external stakeholders including service providers.

Align with the Demand Planning Team to ensure product availability to agreed customer groupings.

Requirements

A recognized tertiary degree qualification in logistics or transportation management or related.

Minimum of 5-8 years of relevant logistics experience.

Minimum of 3-5 years of leadership and team management experience.

Experience in distribution planning systems and process development.

Experience operating effectively in a matrix organization with stakeholders across functions at an executive and senior management level, as well as between the centre and the regions.
