Opportunity for Electrical Engineer in Solar Industry

Working hours: Monday– Friday 07:30- 16:30
We are seeking an experienced Intermediate - Senior Electrical Engineer with Solar industry experience to join a firm in the Cape Town area. Duties&Responsibilities
Lead the design and engineering of solar power systems, including photovoltaic (PV) arrays, inverters, storage systems, and electrical distribution. Develop and review technical specifications, drawings, and calculations for solar projects. Ensure compliance with local regulations, codes, and standards related to solar energy installations.Provide guidance, mentorship, and technical support to team members. Set departmental goals and objectives aligned with the company's strategic vision. Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the team. Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to develop project plans, schedules, and budgets.Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth project execution. Conduct technical reviews and feasibility assessments for solar project proposals. Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation measures to ensure successful project delivery. Stay updated with the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in solar energy systems.Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, and local utility interconnection guidelines. Develop and implement quality assurance processes and standards for solar installations. Conduct inspections, audits, and testing to ensure compliance and optimal performance. Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with solar equipment suppliers and vendors.Engage with regulatory authorities, utilities, and industry organizations to stay updated and influence policy decisions. Minimum Requirements
Diploma / BSc / Degree in Electrical Engineering Experience working with Solar (non-negotiable) Must be able to travel Driver's license and own car Package&Remuneration
