As we continue to expand, we are seeking a dynamic and motivated Client Executive to join our Johannesburg team.

Day in the Life of a Client Executive Your day begins with a conversation with a long-standing client whose business is growing. You ask thoughtful questions, uncover new risks they may not have considered, and work with them to structure a solution that protects what they have worked so hard to build.

Later in the morning, you meet with a potential new client, a business owner introduced through your network. You take the time to understand their operations, their priorities, and the challenges they face, positioning Garrun as the trusted partner who can simplify the complexity of their insurance needs.

By midday, you are collaborating with insurers and underwriters to negotiate the best outcome for a client renewal. Retaining clients isn’t just about premiums; it’s about trust, sound advice, and consistently delivering value.

In the afternoon, you focus on growing your pipeline. You reconnect with referral partners, follow up on opportunities, and identify ways to expand relationships with existing clients through thoughtful cross-selling and tailored solutions.

Before the day ends, you check in with a client who recently experienced a claim to make sure they feel supported and reaffirm why they chose Garrun as their broker. Every conversation, meeting, and solution strengthens the relationships built and contributes to a growing portfolio of clients who trust you to protect their businesses.

Requirements of the role

Minimum 2 years’ experience in a client-facing role in the short-term insurance industry, specifically within a brokerage environment.

Strong knowledge of commercial insurance products, policies, and regulations.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

Valid driver's license and own vehicle are essential

Meet the requirements for representatives as per the FSCA (RE5, Class of Business and Insurance Related Qualification)
